I have to say, I am not one for BB creams. I would prefer something much heavier and with a full coverage. BUT...I have discovered two magical products! First (as shown above) is a tone correcting palette. The different colors allow you to cover up problem areas. You need to choose a warm or neutral color depending on your complexion. So here's how to find your undertones; If you have blue veins, you have a cool undertone. This means that you will want a yellow-based product for your skin. If you have greenish veins (like me) you have warm undertones. Therefore, blue and green will be in your best interest.
So how does it work?
****First things first, always apply lip balm, sunscreen, and moisturizer (I will do a separate post for my personal face routine)****
The colors: Green- Neutralizes any redness in your skin. This is because red and green are complimentary colors (thank you kindergarden art teacher where ever you are). After applying the green portion of the BB cream, or the powder (really it's just personal preference) applying concealer over it. If you are using the BB cream, you'll just put concealer. If you are using the powder, you may want to consider your foundation, then a conceal. Yes I know, concealers go first...actually they should go last. Think about it...what is the point of using concealer if you are just going to conceal it??? Anyways that obviously calls for another lesson. Look out for that entry in my "basics" tutorials in the next few weeks.
Yellows- Yellows are for erasing imperfections such as; bruises, scars, acne, or dark circles under your eyes. Yellow compliments blue, so the colors will neutralize out, making imperfections seem invisible!
Blue- Blue's complimentary color will be any orange discoloration from sun exposure on your skin.
